BODY MASS INDEX (BMI)
Body mass index, or BMI, is a tool that can be used to assess body mass relative to a persons height and weight. It's not a perfect measure because BMI doesn't
differentiate lean body mass from fat mass. As a result the measurement is not accurate for every individual. However, it is a useful tool for a large majority of adults.
The vast majority of us can use BMI to determine our health risks and set appropriate fitness and weight loss goals designed to reach a safer and healthier lifestyle.

BMI is calculated using the following formula:
BMI = mass(kg) / (height(m))2
BMI = mass(lb) / (height(in))2 X 703
